Southcombe Barn is a place where nature meets nurture. Through creative wellbeing we want to help create a deeper connection to nature and nourish hearts and bodies in need of time and peace. Wellbeing services are offered through The Nurturists Co. This summer we will start by offering gong baths and sound therapy in our treatment room as well as wild flower gardens and retreat barn. For more details and to book treatments and workshops, please see The Nurturists Co.
The Southcombe Barn Artspace is a former printmakers studio and hosts original work by leading contemporary artists and makers, in an intimate and relaxed setting.
We have a new affiliation with Arts University Plymouth and are excited to be hosting an artist in residence in the studio during January followed by a solo show. This will be followed by further solo and group exhibitions throughout the year. Please follow us on Instagram to be kept up=to-date.
Through 2022 we will be hosting .gather here at Southcombe. A number of one-off days with the opportunity to meet, chat and learn in an informal studio setting with some of the most talented, creative artist folk based here in the South West.
Southcombe Barn is a new family adventure, having moved to Dartmoor from Bristol at the end of 2019. Our vision is to create a social enterprise offering inclusive and creative wellbeing and nature connection experiences to all. We are moving forward this Summer with three holiday retreat spaces, plus our art gallery, wellbeing barn, a growing flock of chickens, new puppy and some, as of yet, unknown things in 2022.
We will be running a number of creative workshops and events in 2022 and beyond.
